The Goldsboro Okinawa
Karatedo was opened by Sensei J. Adams in 2008 in
Goldsboro, North Carolina at the Goldsboro YMCA and in 2012 we relocated to our own facility. The dojo was
established to preserve the art of Karatedo as it has been passed
down to Sensei Adams by his instructors.
A true karate-ka respects all life and honors the
memories of those who have passed. One who will always try to help
others and exercise integrity and honesty at all times. A karate-ka
will always seek the peaceful route to solve a disagreement and
understand the responsibility of physical power and authority, but
does not abuse them. For those who practice Karate as a way of life
it becomes more then merely a method of fighting or fitness. There
are mental or internal rewards such as self-confidence, disciple and
humility. |
