
Aidan Widener
Sensei: 2nd Dan
Sensei Aidan began his karate training at the Goldsboro Okinawa Karatedo Dojo in 2015.
Sensei Aidan has competed in the AAU Karate Program since 2016 and has won numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals. He was selected as a member of the 2022 AAU-USA National Karate Team that competed in the 10th WUKF Karate World Championships in Florida where he won a silver medal in short kobudo. Sensei Aidan was also selected as a member of the 2023 AAU-USA National Karate Team that competed in the 11th WUKF Karate World Championships in Dundee, Scotland where he won gold medals in kata and short weapons, and a silver medal in long weapons.
Sensei Aidan was promoted to his 1st degree Black Belt, Shodan, in 2019 by Hanshi Koei Nohara, 10th Dan, and his 2nd degree Black Belt, Nidan in 2023. He assists in teaching classes at the dojo as well as coaching Team GOKarate, our national competition team.
