Kylee Adams

Sensei: 2nd Dan

 

Sensei Kylee began her karate training under her father and mother, Sensei Jason and Sensei Anne, in 2011 at the Goldsboro Okinawa Karatedo Dojo at the Goldsboro YMCA.

​

Sensei Kylee has competed in the AAU Karate Program since 2012 and has won numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals. She was selected as a member of the AAU-USA National Karate Team and competed at the 2018 WUKF World Championships in Scotland, where she won a bronze medal in kata, and the 2021 WUKF World Championships in Romania, where she won two silver and a bronze medal. Sensei Kylee was also selected as a member of the 2022 AAU-USA National Karate Team that competed in the 10th WUKF Karate World Championships in Florida, where she won a bronze medal in kata, a silver medal in short kobudo, and two bronze medals in team kumite. She is also a certified AAU Karate National Referee B and was awarded the 2023 AAU Karate National Championship "Best Knowledge of Rules" Award.

Sensei Kylee was promoted to her 1st degree Black Belt, Shodan, in 2019 by Hanshi Koei Nohara, 10th Dan. She was then promoted to 2nd degree Black Belt, Nidan, in 2022 and assists in teaching classes at the dojo when visiting from college. She currently attends Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, where she continues her training.
